Alexander Petrov, Senior Director and Head of the Department of Territorial Planning and Development at Commonwealth Partnership Uzbekistan, participated in the Dunyo Boylab TV program. The topic of the broadcast was "Strategic Planning: On the Path to Achieving Development Goals."
Together with experts Dmitry Neudachin, Lead Consultant at the Strategic Reforms Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Alexey Niyazmetov, Director of Business Consulting at TOP Advisor, Alexander discussed what strategic planning is, its function, the architecture of strategic documents, as well as Uzbekistan's strategic vision, its goals, and how these goals can be achieved.
"The country has long been operating not within its own frameworks but within international ones, thinking in terms of best practices. This is amazing. It is important to note that since strategic documents and long-term visions assume broad thinking, there is always the risk of working 'for the drawer'—coming up with many great ideas and initiatives but leaving two key components underdeveloped: Who are we doing this for? And is it truly necessary for those it is being done for?" Alexander Petrov noted.
