This will worsen traffic congestion.

By 2035, there will be approximately 1.3 million cars in Tashkent. The number of vehicles is expected to grow by about 2.2 times over the next 12 years, according to the international consulting company Commonwealth Partnership Uzbekistan (CMWP).

The organization told Kursiv that Tashkent currently has 577,000 vehicles. By 2035, this number is projected to increase to 1.29 million. This trend is driven by population growth and improved living standards but brings several challenges, including traffic congestion and negative environmental impacts.

Experts believe that reorganizing the city's transport system and consistently developing public transportation will help manage the increasing load on the capital's transport infrastructure.
