Marina Usenko, Partner, Hospitality and Tourism Department, Commonwealth Partnership, shared interesting data on the dynamics of inbound tourist flow to Uzbekistan since 2017, discussed the tourism industry's strong recovery growth post-pandemic, presented statistics on visitor accommodation across the country, and illustrated the structure of hotel room supply in Tashkent. When the supply of modern standards doubles in a short period – 2-3, or a maximum of 4 years – the market becomes oversaturated. Our expert proposed three ways to address this issue.
