This will exacerbate traffic congestion

Tashkent is projected to have approximately 1.3 million cars by 2035. The number of vehicles is expected to increase by about 2.2 times over the next 12 years, according to the international consulting company Commonwealth Partnership Uzbekistan (CMWP).

The organization told "Kursiv" that Tashkent currently has 577,000 cars. This number is expected to rise to 1.29 million by 2035. This trend is a consequence of population growth and improved living standards, but it brings a number of challenges, including traffic congestion and negative environmental impacts.

Experts believe that reorganizing the capital's transport system and consistently developing public transportation will help manage the increasing load on the city's transport infrastructure.
