Uzbekistan maintains its status as the most dynamic international hotel chain market in Central Asia. From 2020 to 2025, the room stock of international brands in the country increased by 272%. No other Central Asian country demonstrates comparable growth rates. This is according to a study by CMWP Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's Hotel Chain Market is Booming

As of the end of 2025, 682 branded hotel rooms have opened in Uzbekistan.

Key openings of the year include Swissôtel Tashkent, Wyndham Garden Tashkent Airport, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Zomin, and J.W. Marriott Hotel Tashkent, which became the second Luxury-level property in the country.

In total, by 2025, there are 4,473 rooms from international chains in the Republic. This places Uzbekistan in second place in terms of market volume after Kazakhstan, but first in terms of growth rate.

Hotel Stock Distribution Across Central Asia

As of 2025, Central Asia has 12,743 rooms from international brands, of which 57% are in Kazakhstan and 35% in Uzbekistan.

However, it is Uzbekistan that shows the highest growth rate in room stock – an almost fourfold increase in five years. Kazakhstan increased its supply by 52% over the same period.

Forecast: Uzbekistan to Become the Largest Market in Central Asia

By the end of 2026, Uzbekistan will surpass Kazakhstan and take first place in the region for international branded supply, with over 8,000 rooms compared to approximately 7,200 in Kazakhstan.

In the long term, growth will be even more significant. Between 2025 and 2030, Uzbekistan's international hotel stock will increase to 10,311 rooms, adding 5,835 new rooms, which corresponds to a 130% growth.

Key growth drivers include:

- Active development of tourism infrastructure;

- Regional diversification (Beldersay, Charvak, Chimgan, Khiva, Miraki project clusters);

- Growing interest from global operators – half of the future room stock is concentrated with IHG, Accor, and Hilton.

What This Means for the Regional Market

Uzbekistan's hotel market is transforming from a follower into a new hub for international hotel operators. By 2030, the country will control 47% of the regional room stock, contributing nearly half of the industry's future growth.

Earlier, Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that, according to CMWP Uzbekistan, the total volume of Class A offices grew by 6.5% in 2025.
