February Kicked Off with a Bang: CMWP at Tashkent Business Events.

On February 10th, the ICCI business program took place for the seventh time as part of the UzBuild construction exhibition, where CMWP Uzbekistan experts participated with three presentations.

Denis Sokolov, CEO of CMWP Uzbekistan, opened the exhibition, welcoming international participants, representatives of ministries and businesses, and the ICCI business program, and also moderated the plenary session.

During the plenary session, Alexey Letunovsky, Head of Project Consulting and Data Management Department, presented a report on “Developing the Investment Potential of New Uzbekistan’s Urban Areas.” The expert outlined six key factors that can ensure the scalability of investment projects in new urban areas: forming a sustainable investment model requires flexibility in approval timelines, guaranteed buy-back of a portion of the volume, tax incentives and holidays, subsidization and co-financing mechanisms, the implementation of a "one-stop shop" principle, and ensuring regulatory predictability.

Later in the program, Alexey Letunovsky spoke in the second ICCI session dedicated to sustainable construction and smart eco-technological cities, using the New Tashkent Megaproject as an example, with a presentation on “Industrial Parks and Transport Hubs as a New Growth Point for the Regional Economy.”

In his report, Alexey identified risks in the development of logistics facilities in urban environments and presented recommendations for the formation of industrial and logistics zones.

The expert emphasized that industrial parks and logistics hubs are not auxiliary infrastructure, but the key framework for a sustainable city and the economy of the future.

The business program addressed issues of attracting investment, financing construction projects, developing national programs "New Tashkent" and "New Uzbekistan," as well as changes in consumer preferences.

On February 11-12, the international real estate summit MOVE was held for the first time in Tashkent, as part of which CMWP Uzbekistan experts participated in the business program.

Denis Sokolov opened the Summit with a keynote address providing a comprehensive overview of the real estate market, touching upon key macroeconomic issues, urban development, and the industry's main challenges.

On the same day, the expert moderated a session dedicated to development, with the participation of leading developers from the Republic and market experts.

Denis Sokolov, along with Vyacheslav Krivosheev (Murad Buildings), Ena-Camelia Melikova (Sea Breeze), Artem Kreskas (Golden House), Aibar Mukhanov (BI Group), Alexey Boldin (ASSALOM ESTATE, SUMMIT UNITED), and a representative of the Association of Developers of Uzbekistan, identified the main challenges facing the industry:

- Improving the quality of urban life, which requires developers to undertake more complex projects and adopt a comprehensive approach, as implied by integrated territorial development (ITD).

- High land costs, increasing construction costs and housing prices.

- The implementation of new construction technologies and the prospects for their use in Uzbekistan.

- The readiness of developers and banks to implement escrow account mechanisms.

Evgeny Grikhanov, Director of CMWP Uzbekistan Management Company, moderated a session at the Summit dedicated to the specifics of real estate management in the world and in Uzbekistan.

The session was attended by leading industry experts: Alexander Bakanov (Courtyard by Marriott and Double Tree by Hilton Tashkent), Anton Agapov (YES Aparthotel chain), Konstantin Glushko (Property Management Group), Shuhrat Shamsutdinov (Apex Development). During the session, experts discussed pressing market issues:

- What constitutes a professional real estate product.

- What is the investment attractiveness of the product.

The focus was on the urgent challenges of the domestic market: the current state of the Republic of Uzbekistan's market and its differences from developed and developing markets in neighboring countries.

The first day of the Summit was dedicated to the global and local real estate markets. On the second day of the event, projects by international architectural bureaus and expert opinions on the impact of architecture and urban planning on the development of modern cities were presented.
