New warehouse facilities in Tashkent are being built outside the capital or on its outskirts, according to an analysis by the consulting company Commonwealth Partnership (CMWP) Uzbekistan.

The choice of such locations is due to two factors: low land cost and the availability of transport infrastructure.

CMWP experts have identified three of the most promising locations for warehouse construction along major highways. These include: Tashkent – Kokand – Andijan (A373), Tashkent – Dushanbe (M34), and Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara (M39).

These locations are advantageous due to their developed transport infrastructure and proximity to railway lines.

Regarding existing warehouse facilities in the capital, 56% of them are located within a 10 to 15 km radius from the city center.

"This distance represents an optimal logistical reach in terms of rapid delivery speed to the center of Tashkent," the report states.
