Li-Ning, an internationally recognized Chinese sportswear brand, has joined the tenant pool of the new Scopus Mall shopping center.

CMWP Uzbekistan acted as the transaction consultant.

The 233 sq. m. space at Scopus Mall will feature fashionable collections of sportswear, footwear, and accessories by Li-Ning, crafted with modern technologies and design.

The brand's objective is to expand its presence in Uzbekistan. This will be the 13th store to open its doors in the Republic.

The lease transaction was consulted by the Retail & Lifestyle team of CMWP Uzbekistan, led by Liliya Yeremenko.

CMWP's team is tasked with finding and selecting tenants that align with the Scopus Mall concept, aiming to create a diverse and high-quality tenant mix in the near future.

A balanced tenant mix is key to the sustainability and prosperity of the business for both parties – the landlord and the tenant. Equally important, it ensures a pleasant shopping experience and satisfaction of diverse customer needs.

The significance and uniqueness of this transaction are worth noting.

  1. Despite multiple interested parties for the premises, the landlord's choice aligned with the tenant's objectives.
  2. The landlord confirmed the brand's suitability for the mall's target audience and concept.
  3. The tenant selected the mall due to its convenient location and flexibility in negotiating commercial terms.

The transaction's importance for the market lies in shaping the understanding among industry players and fostering the habit of seeking consultant assistance for professional matters.

Thanks to the aforementioned factors, the professional involvement of the CMWP team, and the coordinated efforts of the developer and the consulting broker, the deal was concluded in a shortest possible time (less than a month), which remains a rare occurrence in Uzbekistan's brokerage practice.
